Brougham Street - Complementary Projects

Waka Kotahi are proceeding with plans to upgrade Brougham Street through the central government-funded New Zealand Upgrade Programme.

This is a $330K transport project across Christchurch, currently planned.

Waka Kotahi are proceeding with plans to upgrade Brougham Street through the central government-funded New Zealand Upgrade Programme. A preferred option for Brougham Street has been confirmed and includes the introduction of a High Occupancy Vehicle Lane, signalised intersection upgrades and local street access closures along the length of the corridor.

Transport infrastructure keeps Christchurch moving and safe. This project is part of the council's programme to maintain and improve roads, paths, and public spaces for all Christchurch residents.
