Provide communal fire storage for restricted water supply systems where no fire hydrants are available and where the onus is on individual property owners to provide adequate on-site fire storage. Communal fire storage facilities to be implemented in Birdings Flat, Little River, Wainui and Pigeon Bay.
Why This Project Matters
Clean, safe drinking water is a basic right. This project is part of the council's programme to maintain and improve the water supply network, meeting national standards for Banks Peninsula residents.
